Search Continues For Missing Woman

A search is ongoing for a woman who has been missing from the Dublin area since Tuesday afternoon.

The family of Lillian June Moore, 67, said she has not been seen since leaving her place of employment at noon Tuesday.

Moore left the residence of a patient she sits with stating she was going to the post office, the grocery store and then home. Moore’s son, David, said she normally stops at the post office on Bellevue Avenue and then goes by the Piggly Wiggly store before heading on home every day.

“She might wake up on a Saturday morning and say she’s going to work when she don’t work on Saturday,” he said. Lillian used to love to fish, but David said she hasn’t been in a long time, and when she did go she went to old ponds or Turkey Creek. But, he doesn’t believe she would try anything like that either. She has not other hobbies or interests that would cause her to leave her home that he knows of. He said family members have driven all the roads they thought she could have gotten lost on and intended to ride top search more areas Wednesday afternoon.

David said Lillian has five children, all of whom live in Dublin, except for one who lives in Florida. He does not believe she would head there and no one in Florida has heard from her.
