The unusual claim from the broadsheet comes after a tip-off from a Nintendo insider, who says that the company believe any hints as to the game creators thoughts and ideas could give away product ideas potentially worth “billions”.
Miyamoto did of course spearhead innovative creations such as Wii Fit, Wii Music, Brain Training, et al.
Wii Fit was purportedly inspired by Miyamoto’s family, so you can sort of see why the Big N might like to keep their legendary designer close at hand, given how any loose-lippery might give away his next project, giving competitors a helping hand.
