If you want to celebrate Valentines Day have a good one

Although, even though Im not a fan of this oh-so-commercial event, it cant be denied that it is gaining in popularity every year.
If youre part of a couple, I hope you get whatever you hope for from the day, whether it is a bunch of red roses, chocolates or your other half on the business end of a vacuum cleaner.
For those who are single, why not take the plunge and check out one of the online dating sites. Finding a partner online is quite common these days and no longer has the imagined air of desperation many people tagged it with years ago.
There are stacks of sites, including: www.findsomeone.co.nz, www.nzdating.com and www.matchfinder.co.nz.
And, hey, theres always Google %26mdash; it can handle your search and e-mail needs, so why not romance? Google Romance (www.google.com/ romance) was Googles 2006 April Fools Day prank.
However, I would advise you to stay away from Ugly People (http:/ /uglypeople.com). Its a bit scary.
Oh, and sorry ladies, but the lovely Franko is no longer on the market (www.mytrailerpark.com).
If (like me) youre not feeling the love from your ISP lately and if (also like me) youve made the decision to have a change, ISP Find (http://ispfind.co.nz) could be just what you need. You tell the clever wee site just what youre looking for in an internet connection and it will find you your perfect match. You can filter out the results by price, speed and much more.
If only dating was that easy.
For those of you who have been asking, no, my customer service gripes have not yet been sorted.
My Xtra connection was back up to speed after the hardware problem was fixed at the exchange but Ive still had no explanation or apology from anyone concerned.
As for the NZ Post drama, it assures me it is now properly investigating the missing parcel and Ive had a couple of messages left on my answerphone telling me the investigation is still under way.
However, after weeks, and weeks and weeks the %26quot;investigation%26quot; continues to drag on. I dont hold out a lot of hope.
Ah well, at least I got an apology from NZ Post.
