“HANNAH MONTANA: ONE IN A MILLION” (Walt Disney Studios, 2008, TV-G, $19.99)
As the fourth volume of the “Hannah Montana” DVDs, “One in a Million” continues Miley Cyrus’ Disney TV masquerade as a regular junior high student who is really recording superstar Hannah Montana or is it the other way around?
At any rate, the four episodes on this DVD, which will be released Tuesday, feature guests Heather Locklear, Dolly Parton, Vicki Lawrence and teen idols the Jonas Brothers.
In “Lilly’s Mom Has Got It Goin’ On,” Locklear is lined up with Cyrus’ dad Robbie Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus) and, the longer the date lasts, the more predictably disastrous it gets.
“Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas” is another formula segment that zeroes in on Miley and her friend Lilly (Emily Osment) who desperately want the Jonas Brothers to notice them. However, Kevin, Nick and Joe have other ideas. They want to get acquainted with the ins-and-outs of the music business by spending their time with (who else?) Robbie Ray.
Lawrence and Parton appear as Robbie’s mother and aunt, respectively, during “I Will Always Loathe You.” When the two women show up for Miley’s International Music Awards Ceremony, the episode true to its title becomes a funny study of intra-family feuds.

The last episode on the DVD “That’s What Friends Are For?” stacks the odds against Miley with appearances by her ex-boyfriend Jake Ryan (Cody Linley) and Hannah Montana’s professional rival Mikayla (Selena Gomez).
The bonus features include “Come Feud with Me: the Top Disney Character Feuds,” the “One in a Million” and “True Friend” music videos and a bonus episode of “That’s So Raven.”
While Hannah Montana can come off as too sweet and contrived at times, parents can be comforted to know that she is a much better role model than a lot of other teen idols.
